Moo Piyasombatkul Eyewear

Thai designer Moo Piyasombatkul is inspired by baroque designs and how emotions are played out on faces to create her eyewear (I would use the term sunglasses, but as you can see above not all her designs actually include lenses, they're more like eye art). The shapes of her frames range from aviators to Wayfarers to round 60's Lennon-ish styles. If you can afford to shell out $500 for a pair you can pick some up at Opening Ceremony. So..who wants to be my style patron?

Takorean: Food Truck #1

We've embarked on an epic quest...sample all (or at least most) of the DC metro area's food trucks. Up first was the Takorean truck, which offers up delicious little packages of Korean BBQ nestled in warm corn tortillas. Takorean gives you a choice between bulgogi beef, marinated chicken or caramelized tofu and you can customize your toppings with Kimchi slaw, Sriracha sauce, sesame seeds and fresh cilantro. They were amazing! We ate them on the steps across the street from the truck, which that day was located at 20th and Massachusetts Ave. Check them out and get yourselves some tasty tacos! http://takorean.com/. Next up: Solar Crepes!
